As the United States commemorates its 250th anniversary, Clovis is embracing this historic milestone with a series of community events designed to reflect on the nation’s founding and celebrate our shared history.
America 250 Celebrations
The Clovis Veterans Memorial District, in collaboration with the City of Clovis and the City of Fresno, is hosting a variety of events leading up to the Semiquincentennial. These include community gatherings, educational programs, and ceremonies that aim to bring residents together across generations. For more details on upcoming events, residents are encouraged to visit the Clovis Veterans Memorial District’s official website.
ClovisFest & Hot Air Balloon Fun Fly
In addition to the America 250 events, the 51st annual ClovisFest & Hot Air Balloon Fun Fly is scheduled for September 26 and 27 in Old Town Clovis. This family-friendly festival features hot air balloon launches, craft booths, live music, and cultural performances. Attendees can witness the balloon liftoff at dawn from the Clovis Rodeo Grounds and then enjoy the day’s festivities throughout Old Town Clovis.
These events provide an opportunity for Clovis residents to engage with their community, honor the nation’s history, and create lasting memories during this significant anniversary year.
